My papers: inspire
My research lies at the intersection of theoretical high energy physics, quantum information theory, and non-equilibrium statistical physics. I am interested in exploring an observables-first approach to quantum gravity. In quantum cosmology where the physics is always inside of a horizon, how might accounting for an observer and the measurements they can make help generate a consistent theory, and how can one do so rigorously? Within AdS/CFT, how can one measure observables predicted from the bulk in the boundary CFT, and what physical processes would this correspond to in the bulk? Some theoretical tools for purusing these questions include quantum measurement theory, the gravitational path integral, quantum reference frames. Some empirical tools include near-term quantum computing experiments to simulate such quantum gravity measurements.
